HOME OF CHAMPIONS: The Random Cup Salutes The Arches After a Decade of Legendary Hospitality

PINEHURST, N.C. — While one competitor will eventually leave Pinehurst wearing the champion's jacket, there is another annual winner that never appears on the leaderboard.

The Arches.

As Random Cup XIV gets underway, the Committee wishes to recognize one of the Championship's longest-standing partners, and perhaps its most valuable. For the past ten years, The Arches has served as the official home of the Random Cup, opening its doors to generations of competitors and somehow surviving every one of them.

From sunrise coffee on the porch to late-night debates over three-foot putts that somehow escalate into constitutional law, The Arches has quietly become part of the Championship itself. The house has welcomed champions and first-timers, heartbreak and celebration, karaoke rehearsals, impromptu rules meetings, unscheduled equipment inspections, and enough Fireball to require its own line item in the annual budget.

Through all of it, one thing has never changed: the hospitality, the care, and the attention to every last detail.

Year after year, owner Chuck and the management team have continued to improve the property, finding new ways to make Championship Week feel more like home. The Committee can state without hesitation that no request has ever been too small, no problem too difficult, and no effort spared in making sure the competitors have everything they need.

Simply put: the Random Cup wouldn't feel like the Random Cup without The Arches.
